For his birthday, Maggie got Gary a gift certificate for two flying lessons. His friend, Bob, and I rode along for lesson two.
Ready to fly.
Gary and Bob, getting ready to get into the plane. If I wasn't such a doofus and pasted to the window for the entire trip, I probably would've taken a shot of Bob's face, so that he can photoshop himself into other stuff. [And I can't easily find any of the pictures of Bob waving. I'm a loser.]
The flight instructor is John Brown, who has been doing this for many years.
Gary's getting ready to taxi...
...under the careful tutelage of John.
We flew around Minton and Carson City for a while. Here's the State Capital.
Eventually, we returned to the airport, where John proceeded to land the plane.
A very relaxing flight. The only thing missing was the 187ml bottles of chardonnay.
Our pilot.
Back to the casa, where Gary and Bob prepared an excellent steak dinner, over which we discussed tomorrows Lake Tahoe plans.
